So glad you asked! Yes! In this new version, we plan to add something that will be better than the last. You will not have to leave the forum area, to chat with people. It is quite nice. Coming soon. I believe it will also be secure, which is a great relief to the admins.
One could argue that evolution suggests we’re not idiots, but I would say, “Well, no. Evolution just makes sure we’re not blithering idiots."

The old chat service was difficult to adapt and secure and did not integrate will in the site. The big problem was determining who was on line at any give time.
I am looking into a number of chat services that will work better with IPB software.
I'm easily distracted by squirrels.
