Welcome Erica!!
We live in Monmouth, just a short 15 min. drive west of Salem. I know there are a few new owners that live in Portland. Hopefully they will connect with you. If not let me know and perhaps we could meet some where in between. My sis use to live in Hood River, but that was many moons ago.
