We are expecting strong winds, this afternoon, and power outages are possible.
One could argue that evolution suggests we’re not idiots, but I would say, “Well, no. Evolution just makes sure we’re not blithering idiots."

Well, that was anti-climactic. Karen? How are you? Any wind? River full enough for you?

I thought it was just us that had the bad winds and rain! The river was like the sea this morning, big waves on it and it was a struggle to walk in the wind, so we came home! We are due for a weekend of the same though, not very pleasant at all.

We were fine - no downed trees on the roads or anything. The creek was high, but nothing to worry about. We do get some dramatic views of the tops of the cedars whipping around when it gusts, but even then, when it is dark (all of the time, it seems!) we don't even get that.
