Hello out there, My name is Jerry, and I am a new to the forum.
My family and I have been waiting eagerly for our first AI Dog for some time, and we are all very excited.
I think we’ll name her Lola, but we’ll just have to see who she (we are really hoping for a female) is.
We lost our beloved family member of 15 years Chimay (a mixed breed) about 1 1/2 years ago. She was one of a kind. (see the attached photos)
We decided on an American Indian Dog because, of all the dogs I have met, I have never met a dog more beautiful, intelligent, and intuitive as the AI dog.

There's facts about dogs and there's opinions about dogs. The dogs have the facts and the humans have the opinions.

Welcome to the club, Jerry (and family). Your Chimay was a beautiful dog! What was she mixed with? It is funny, as her coloring is very similar to some of our AI's!
The wait is treacherous - but the end result is FANTASTIC! We have had our little guy for just under 6 months now and everyday I wrap my arms around and thank him for being who he is. We too lost our faithful companion and found our way to Solstice "Soul" Son (or he found us) to fill a hole in our hearts...and he has done so!
You are going to love your little girl and I cannot wait to see pics!
Congratulations!!

Hello Jerry! You sound like perfect owners. Beautiful pictures of Chimay. I imagine she will watch over the selection of your pup. You won't be disappointed. These dogs are full of personality. They are so intelligent, that you have to watch out for them training you--everything a dog/man relationship was meant to be!
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
One could argue that evolution suggests we’re not idiots, but I would say, “Well, no. Evolution just makes sure we’re not blithering idiots."

Chimay was from Humane Society, so it's impossible to know exactly what she was a mix of. They told me she was a Sheppard/Chow mix. That dog was down write telepathic, and she exhibited many of the traits attributed to the AI Dog listed on the various websites. This is partly what led us to the AI Dog in the first place.
Last July, we paid Kim a visit in Selma to meet his dogs in person, and we got on the waiting list then, and yes, the wait has been treacherous.

Jerry, Welcome! You are very patient. I remember the wait, looking at all of the photos, wondering what our dog was going to look like (not something that happens with other breeds!
) It's so hard to wait when it is DOG that you want!
