My parents came home with Coco (an AI dog from Rogue and Arrow) 6 years ago, and i have included a few photos of her when she has been living with me in Alberta, Canada. She is (i may be bias!) pretty much the best dog out there! she is affectionate, mischievous, rambunctious and incredible smart..and she loves chasing squirrels! i cant wait for her to have a little brother or sister to help teach right from wrong and be a mentor for!

Hi. Loved your post. I am out of town, with my folks, and working in the yard. I could see my dog was starting to get bored. I was getting him to wait for a bit longer before we threw the frisbees, and then we heard a very distinct "Meow".
We both turned to look at each other, and I realized he was up for the chase, but I was not. So grabbed him and put him inside.
The funny thing is, my folks say he went through all the machinations of a child, trying to get them to let him back out. No words, but clear communication.
The dog boy, we call him, was showing his theatrical range.
Congratulations. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Medicine dogs.....Very amazing creatures. Congratulations again.
For me it is so fun, to see my father enjoy and appreciate my dog. He had no idea, and if I had tried to tell him, he would not have believed me. But I see him growing very fond of Coyote. He cannot help himself; he is drawn to Coyo's sentience.
Nice photo of Coco in England. Beautiful Place.

Your folks pup Coco looks exactly like my Hawk. He is from Red and Sierra and will be 5 on Christmas day. I had him come in and look at her picture and he starred at it and then went on about his business.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you will have your own pup very soon. They can be challenging some times but well worth it. You said earlier that Coco is the best dog, when you get your pup it will be the "best dog". We all say that about our dogs, because they really are the best!!!!

Allison's stories about Coyo are soooo relevant to the AI experience! You are all ready familiar with the breed, so I won't wax and wane about that...but I cannot wait to see your puppy pics! We've had Soul for about 6 months now and he is growing into a wonderful young man! Today we had a "tween" adventure...he has discovered the video game controller...get ready to run alot! :-) Wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm excited for you. My AI dog will be two very soon, and she is a character. She was so wild at first, but now I can't believe that I was ever concerned that she wasn't connecting with me. She still has a wild streak, and spends a lot of time scheming so she can annoy her older pack mate, but she's a very fun, witty dog.
And they are such fun pups to train!

Welcome! Coco is so beautiful. Do you live in Alberta now?
Yeah, i do live in Alberta. I split my time between Calgary and Canmore.
The two photos of Coco in the snow - one is by the Bow River in calgary and the other is near Banff. She was about 3 years old then.
What age did you find Danza was the most challenging for training?
i've spoken with my parents alot about Coco experiences, but its always nice to hear other opinions.

I think I got her too young, at least too young for her. I know Kim says they are ready sooner than other breeds, but she wasn't ready. Maybe another few days would have been good, maybe it wouldn't have mattered how old she was when she was separated from her pack. But for her, older would have been better. She didn't bond with us people until a few months after we brought her home, which made some aspects of training hard. But she was smart and bored easily, so she learned just because is was a challenge and it was fun, and she never did it to make me happy.
My mother-in-law was, apparently, a terrible waitress at that famous (beautiful) mountaintop resort in Banff and spilled coffee on a couple one morning. The next day they came to breakfast wearing mackintoshes.

I picked up my pup at 12 weeks, and it was the same. Took him longer than I expected, to bond with me, or the people. Perhaps it is a peculiarity of the breed, or the pack in which they are raised. Or maybe he was waiting for my husband to take the alpha role? Let's face it, I had a lot to learn. Still, once that bond was forged, it was everything I could want.
