We have helped look for a few dogs on this day. Be safe.

Hooray for Independence! Ours and every person's around the globe!

We spent the 4th of July with an American theme at a school fete, the school is for 5 - 11 year olds. We had a small camp with Mike and I and the 2 dogs Shunka and Holly, we had special dispensasion from the head master to take the dogs on the grounds. the only other camper was JJ with his tipi, but other friends were there in costume.

The dogs were really tired at the end of the afternoon, being good is so hard!
Shunka won over some new fans, including one of the teachers who didn't want him to go home!

The kids were fascinated by the cannon, and were alllowed to shoot blanks from six-guns, it was totally politically incorrect, but they had a really good time, can't seem to find the pictures so will e-mail them to Allison and perhaps you will post them for me please? In the mean time will try to find out their file names!

Lots of pictures were taken of Shunka, and they are going onto the school website, will let you know what it is and when, when I know!

Hope you all had a really good day also.

Hi all, just to let you know, not all was quiet here in my little valley. About 10:30p.m. on the 4th, Kate
Smith bellowed "America the beautiful" up and down the river bed on max. I'm sure the whole valley enjoyed her sing as only she could do. Yes, I got a few dogs howling, yes I recieved a couple of phone calls the next day expressing delight....good thing. It was all worth it.

Hope all is well with all.
Enjoy your day

I really think 'America the Beautiful' is a really hard song to sing, if I tried I would be hung, drawn and quartered not for singing it, but because i definately can't sing!

Thanks for putting up the photo's Allison, it is much appreciated by me anyway!
