Thought I'd let some of you new puppy owners in on a fun thing to do with your pup when they get older. Have you heard of "dog scootering"? It is such a blast not only for our dogs but for us. I started Hawk scootering over a year ago. The first thing is to pick a scooter that fits your life style and how you want to use the scooter. Then I had a special x-back harness made for him. We started out with him slow so he could get use to it. It doesn't take long and off they go pulling you around. What great exercise for them as well as your selves.
I wanted to share with you about my "grand dog" Chief. I started him scootering over the Memorial Day weekend while camping. He is only 11 months old and pulls like he has been doing it for ever. He is very strong and a determination to go with it. So, now I am going to have a harness made for him and get a connector to go between both dogs. Look out, here we come!!!!!!!!

Hope all of you with your new pups are doing fine, it really does get better each day. Keep sending photo as they get older. It's amazing how much they change.

Meekos was the last of his line and recently passed away - soon after I was introduced to American Indian dogs and it is now our pleasure to be working on getting a new addition to our family!

Thanks, Lisa (and Hawk)!

We have been looking at different things that we can do with Soul. He loves his little mini frisbee (look out Todd) and our daughter states yesterday that she would really like to train him in agility!

On that note - she has a Razor scooter that has been sitting in the garage for about a year - neglected and she got it out yesterday...and Soul took off running next to her through the yard like a "dog gone wild"! Soooooo...perhaps he will be the agile scooter dog!

You say 11 months is how old Chief is? Hmmmm...looks like we may have to look for a harness!

Thank you again!!!

Soul is doing great! His photo album is located at: http://photobucket.com/solsticeson. We've been trying to add pics each week...I'm a freak about documenting how much he is growing as we don't notice as much seeing him day in and day out!!

We had an album for Danza and it was lots of fun. My husband had it as his screen saver and it was the hit of his group at Microsoft. If I didn't update it daily he'd call me from work asking where the pictures were!

The photos are very cute, BTW.

I Coyo and I are going to have work harder to keep up with you and 2 dogs, Lisa. We are still working out the kinks. It's not as easy as it looks.

We're actually thinking about giving him his own Myspace account! He gets more comments than I do when I post my educational stuff! Bwahahaha Thanks Karen!
