I've never met a dog that liked a bath! I hear they exist, though.

When we got Danza I read The Art of Raising a Puppy by the Monks of New Skeet, and they talk a lot about getting your dog acclimated to grooming. I've followed their instructions, and as a result some of the routine things like nail clipping are easier than they've been with any of my previous dogs. It is very nice to have a dog that doesn't mind having their nails clipped! Right now it still takes two people because she is so interested in the whole process, but when she mellows I'm sure that will change. And the Monks agree about their dogs not needing baths often, maybe one or two a year.

I don't know how much grooming helps people with allergies. My husband has reactions when he gives Roscoe a bath, which makes sense. Brushing regularly (outside) seems to help, but baths can dry their skin out and just make things worse. But Roscoe is a smelly dog, so it's always a matter of the lesser of two evils! :P :(
