Denise E. 1,485
Hi Greg, Thanks for posting the "Instructions For Completing The Pending Registration Form". This came out after I sent Tayamni's paperwork in and it's now time to send in Coffey's in the next couple weeks b4 he is six months old. Thank you for taking the time with all the details and the sample pictures. They help a lot! I needed a refresher and remembered seeing this POST of yours in "New Pups". Got it printed to we'll try to get it right - yes, agree pup pictures hard to get - I have a right side pic but he is sleeping and won't send it because well .... he looks a bit lifeless he's napping so hard. it's funny but not a registration picture - LOL. REALLY APPRECIATE the Instructions POST in New Pups. Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you get my ball of energy (pup) to stand still long enough to get the pictures, too? I already have a bunch of pictures where he looks like "The Flash"
Allison 2,369
I already have a bunch of pictures where he looks like "The Flash" Lucky you. I must have a million pictures of my first dog's butt as he ran away while I was trying to photograph him.
Greg 2,662
Hi Greg, Thanks for posting the "Instructions For Completing The Pending Registration Form". This came out after I sent Tayamni's paperwork in and it's now time to send in Coffey's in the next couple weeks b4 he is six months old. Thank you for taking the time with all the details and the sample pictures. They help a lot! Thanks Denise. I am happy that someone read the instructions and found it useful. The goal is to make the registration process easy for the owner and the registry. can you get my ball of energy (pup) to stand still long enough to get the pictures, too? I already have a bunch of pictures where he looks like "The Flash" Thank goodness for digital cameras. When my dogs are too excited to allow me to take a picture, I go into training mode and use a prop to assist with getting my dogs to stand still. Use a toy, a treat or whatever will get him to focus just long enough to get the picture. Maybe even use another person to take the picture as you get him to "focus". A squeaky toy helps get the dogs to look at the camera while they are in a stay. Good luck.
Brandon_N90 60
Does it matter what's in the background of the photo? I see greg has taken his picture outside with lucious grass and I understand nobody can be taken with the pup. Perhaps inside against the kitchen cabinets is fine? Allison 2,369
Sure. It's the dog that matters.
Greg 2,662
As Allison mentioned, it is all about the dog in the photograph. Remember if you are using a digital camera, you can zoom in a little and even crop the photograph to cut out some of the back ground if you like. Just a reminder, one of the pictures of your dog will be the picture embedded on the pedigree.

Greg 2,662
He looks so peaceful, and a lot different from when I seen him last. Your right, good right side picture, but not a registration picture .

Denise E. 1,485
He looks so peaceful, and a lot different from when I seen him last. Your right, good right side picture, but not a registration picture . Peace-full, heh heh I do have lots of pics - his coloring has changed back and forth so much in these last few months. He's compact - only about 23 lbs at almost 24 weeks. He eats as much as Tayamni does now. He has since 9 weeks old. I think he has a hollow leg! Still loves to cuddle! so he does slow down sometimes ..... I can't wait to get his paperwork to see who/what lines his ancestry is! He has always been smaller the my first one - comparative growth charting and he has different parents. Different face, different tail placement - yes there are similarities too - just not cookie cutter like other breeds. LOVE THAT ABOUT THEM! Indoors, if I can keep cats out of his view I may get a good right side still - That's a big IF. We've been using two people and have some "ehhh" and 'OK' shots - will send the best we have - probably mail out on Nov. 30th - he turns 6 months on Dec 8 (26 weeks Dec. 7). Thanks for your tips!!!! Coffey please 33
I can not wait for the paper work to come back either on Coffey. The Junior mint is at Grandmas' with me right now. He is trying to give a hard time with his training ..... I am doing what I can to stay one step ahead and consistent as well as right back to tough love as is much needed. Denise keeps up on us being alpha ... weather at home or at our moms' place. Thanks to everyone on helpful tips. I know we most likely have or will put all to good use.
LakeGirl 779
When taking the photos of Kaposia for the registry, I had Denny hold a tennis ball in the air in front of her a little distance away. It got her head up, and she was still for about 3 split seconds. When printing the photos to send, I cropped Denny out of the picture.
