Starghoti 466
Ok folks! We are at the 3 month mark, and need to really get down and dirty with the preparations.  Let's try to get a head/paw count : I'll check with Kim about how many folks are coming from his neck of the woods. There are always several people there - that are not on the forum.  We have reserved the Bass shelter on Saturday for our BBQ/Picnic. There is a $100 deposit for cleaning, so please let's be tidy!  --------------So....now it's time to talk about food. In the past, poor Arlene has been stuck with the bulk of the fare, but we are determined that she and Kim should not do anything but show up and have fun. They have done more than enough- raising all these pups and getting them off to their new homes!  My hubby Gwydo, is wheat intolerant, so we always take dibs on the Gluten Free buns and we'll bring napkins and paper plates and cutlery.  The list thus far... Hamburger patties -- ???? and hotdogs for the kids -- Therese Buns: Burger and some hotdog style (regular-wheat type) -- Carolyn and Dave (Star/Gwydo bringing a couple packs of Gluten Free) Charcoal and lighter fluid -- Greg Potato Salad, and maybe Another salad? -- Martha and Niki Chips - a couple kinds -- Joy1 Condiments -- MizM Pickles/relish stuffs -- MizM Dessert--maybe one of you late comers would like to take that -- Niki  Paper plates and Napkins, And plasticware. (forks and such) -- Star and Gwydo  I don't know what else. Feel free to volunteer your favorites.  AND--- Do we need granola burgers for any vegetarians in the group? Are they all created equal, or would you rather bring your own? ---------------------------- Just FYI- there is a small grocery/market on the Highway just before the turn onto Lakeshore. One can procure perishable provisions there. And the Huge town of Grants Pass (population 35k or so..) is only about 20 miles away. So no need to try for heroic measures in victual transportation.. lol
Carolyn 454
Put Carolyn and Dave down for hamburger and hot dog buns.
Joyous1 86
Put me down for chips/snacks. I'm traveling a good distance, so I'd rather not bring something that requires refrigeration. No burgers or hotdogs for me, but I'm happy just melting some cheese on a bun. Â Thanks for organizing!
Starghoti 466
That is the joy of having several descent stores within 25 miles or so. One is only a few miles down the road! Rays Food Place, Selma OR We are going down early to settle in and get things set, so that is why we opt for tableware. But we don't lug all our food down with us. We just make store runs every day or 2 - so don't stress too much on packing food. Â Joy- If you are a veg, we can get some really good veg burgers here in Eugene (hippy-land!) and bring them with. Â And consider yourself down for Chips/Snax
Carolyn 454
We hope to make veggie burgers + extras to share. We make from scratch, grind beans and wheat etc. Tasty ...

Greg 2,662
Star, I noticed we still need hamburgers which I can also pickup. If you have a rough head count it will help me determine how much I need to bring. I see some names attached to the above list but I am sure there are others coming that are not listed above.
Starghoti 466
Awesome Greg! Looks like we have about 25-30 people scheduled, and Kim usually has some local dog-friends that show up too. Some of this estimated total is small children, and a few vegetarians.. so in essence- I have no accurate actual head count.. Make your best guess with data provided in this tread, and at worst we can make a run to Ray's and grab another rack of patties if needed. And Thanks Again!
