No question is stupid!!! :D

Scooby is the brother of Comanch who belongs to Yvon. They were just twins. Scooby had one blue and one yellow eye. There parends were Rogue and Sky Dancer.

Do you have a picture of Willy, we would like to see one.

Yes! I will gladly share it with you! So do you have Scooby now? I thought both Scooby and Comanch were Yvon's dogs. See how easily an old Polish lady is confused!?!?!?!?!

P.S. Forgot to mention that our black AID, Shadow Dancer, also has one yellow eye and one that is half blue/half yellow!! She's in the picture with our other AID, Zi (Migizi).

Wow, so the mix of eye colors are in the family. Three eye colors in one dog..cool.

Scooby has passed on, that's why I titled it "Spirit Guide".

It was such a beautiful picture, though, that I thought everyone would like to see it. Thanks Angelique.

Angelique!

Forgot to mention that the parents of Shadow are also Rogue and Sky Dancer -- same parents but from a different litter!

Just saw the pictures. He is also beautiful! How old is he?

Scooby became a spirit last june. He had lymph gland cancer. This was discoverd dec 2004. Because we were quick to respond we could stop it with 2 typs of chemo-therapie (don't ask me with ones but it is used on people too). It was a 3 hour journey for every chemo. He got that one year, about 20 times in total. It was not always easy but he only became ill three times. The injecting from the chemo was never a problem. He lay there verry still as if he knew it was put in him to help him. Then after one year it was almost gone. They don't give it longer to make sure the dogs welfere is not compremised. He had one year without any treatmant. We even took a holliday in the montains of Austria. It was a great year but in dec 2006 the cancer returned. They can not give the same chemo twice because the cancer builds up resistance, so he got an nother type but this one did not help.

Before we started the first chemo we talked about were we would draw the line. Then you can think more clearly.

When we saw that Scooby was not getting any joy in life it was up to us to help him with his last journey. That is not an easy thing to do even if you know with all your hart en mind it is the right thing to do! Making that last apointment with our vet felt like hell! We stayed with him so we were the last peaple he would see and told him we loved him and he was goiing to a place with no pain....and than his eyes broke.

We took his body to be cremated so we can spread his ases in the forest we always walk.

We never regreted we started him on chemo. He (and we) got 3 extra years in good health.

He was 10 Years 7mnd 7 days old and we injoyed, almost, every moment with him. And we still do when we remember him.

But with a new pup who came surprisenly quickly we have to put to practise what Scooby taught us!

Oh my gosh, it breaks my heart. What a good dog to put up with all that was necessary. I have never met anyone else who tried chemo on their pet. I am glad for your extra time together. My best wishes for your new and healthy pup--many long years for all of you!
