Allison 2,369
There are several ways to view the forum. I prefer the "Standard" option, where you see each persons post in their entirety, and scroll down through them. I have found myself stuck on the "Outline" option, where you see the outline of the topic, and have to go back and forth in order to follow the conversation. I find this one annoying, but perhaps other people prefer it. In the early days of the forum, it took me quite a while to figure out how to get the back to the standard option. So here is the trick: When you start at the top of a thread, look for the word "Options", usually with a drop down arrow. Here is what it look like in the color scheme I have chosen: If you are using a different color scheme or skin, as it's known, it may look different, but will be similar. Karen 41
Oh, I go straight to "view new posts" every time.
Allison 2,369
I am not fond of that one, because you do not get the sense of what's going on, around the board, but many people do like it. I like to see where people are talking, which forums, where they are looking, the view counts, things like that, so I use the index. New posts, feels sort of truncated to me. But that is me. I am sure that is why there are all the viewing options, and skins.
