Karen 41
Danza loves squeak toys. She loves loves loves making the noise, and she's obsessed with killing them. Once she's done that she's done with the toy. If it doesn't squeak she is no longer interested. It might take her up to 30 minutes to silence a squeaker, but it's usually quicker than that. Does anyone know of a squeak toy that would keep her busy for much longer than that?
Sherab 2,337
You might be able to make or find a toy of simple but strong cloth, like blue jean and put a velcro opening and just give her a "purse" with a replacable squeeker. http://www.amazon.com/ZippyPaws-30-Large-Replacement-Squeakers/dp/B007Y8X9IG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1384695760&sr=8-2&keywords=replacement+squeakers http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Squeakers-Downtown-Pet-Supply/dp/B0064OB61I/ref=pd_sim_petsupplies_6 Maybe put the "purses" into something like this for more fun? http://www.amazon.com/ZippyPaws-Burrow-Squeaky-Plush-Chipmunk/dp/B00D8PSJ6Q/ref=sr_1_5?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1384695954&sr=1-5&keywords=chipmunk+dog+toy Edited November 17, 2013 by Sherab
Karen 41
We just tried this one , it held up longer than most at 30 minutes. We're now on this one, so far she's not crazy about how it feels in her mouth. I'm going to go bounce it off the driveway for her to see if she'll fall in love with it then. Starghoti 466
If she is a 'killer' like K'ne (lol) then you should try these. http://www.jwpet.com/dog/cuzdetails.html or these http://www.jwpet.com/dog/squdetails.html They embed the squeaker deep into the toy, and the rubber is quite durable. She has retrofitted several of our puzzle toys to make the holes bigger.. regardless of the manufacturers use of the words 'durable' or 'designed for dogs' LOL she can get at the little fins and nibble them down so the holes are bigger.. brat. But the CuzBalls seem to thwart her, and they are a non-offensive type of rubber. I can't guarantee they are indestructible but they are certainly challenging! Also fun to get the Holee Roller http://www.jwpet.com/dog/hol-eetoys.html and stuff it with pieces of fleece for them to 'unravel' for dogs that like to unstuff toys. What a great idea, the fleece. I can't wait to try it!
