Starghoti 466
What do you get when you take your 9 mo old pup for a good 2 mile run, then off to the dog park to play in the rain with her buddies and big brother for about an hour? A hang-dog tired pup! That's what you get. She is in her usual spot, between the front seats, standing on the center console of the wagon. Kind of weeble-wobbling and almost drooling... lololol

Starghoti 466
Yep! We have been training in harness for about a week now. Currently using the bicycle and stepping it up to the scooter in a couple weeks. Need to take the pesky thing in to the bike shop for a tune up. And ALLISON- Watch out, we are gonna kick you guys off the trail this next year at the Gathering! We need to start planning scootering, ball, frisbee, and trick events to make a real showing! Sherab 2,337
Thank you Ladies, the feeling is mutual. Waki will do a lot of things for liver treats. Maybe I can get him to be an accessory. Waki and I were just playing "swarm of angry bees". I got him a hide a bee and he likes when I take out 2 bees and "fly" them madly about his head with much squeeking. Definite doggy giggles. This is especially good if one bee goes under a pillow or blanket occasionally so there can be pouncing.

miz molly 1,800
OMG...don't know which one is in the back of the photo, but it looks like he has a smile on his face with the tip of his tongue sticking out....what a crack up. Now that's a photo of totally zonked out pups. Looks like your bike ride was a success.
Starghoti 466
That is the Kneezers, and it isn't her tongue- she has a light dusting of white on the very tip of her chin And yeah they were Zonked. Wish I could have gotten a picture of her outside- laying flat on her side, chewing on a stick. LOL And we now have a bike rack for my car so we can have adventures on far reaching trails Should be an awesome season for them and me!
Starghoti 466
Ok- slowly building up her feet and endurance. This shot is taken of our running rig, about 4 miles into the 5 mile ride. They are obviously having a blast We did a moderate pace half-mile warmup, and about a mile of good even running, then took it down for a quarter mile, then picked the speed back up again, and then took a short break of about 3-4 minutes of just watching the water run down hill in the river. (took the photo) Then back onto the path for an easy lope back to where I parked the car. The spring-arm takes away the shock for them and me. Surprisingly easy to run both dogs, tho I do still have to pay close attention.
Chinatola 927
I'm starting that plan with Lili this spring! How very cool.......
Starghoti 466
It is a lot of fun. Just don't go too far at one time, as their feet need to build up toughness. Pavement can literally sand their pads off! If she has black toes, don't go past middle-pad blush, and she should be fine (It will make sense when you start and begin to closely monitor pad wear) Also I can't endorse highly enough our Springer brand bike attachment! There is little or no torque/stresses on the dog/s. And it has the safety breakaway, if you need it. Some of the best money we have spent for the sanity and fitness of our dogs! Sherab 2,337
Very cool. I just picked up a split line lead (one line with two heads) for when we get our girl. Will have to look into some 2 dog bike equipment
dimsum629 27
That sounds really nice. Whereabouts would one go to buy this wonderful piece of equipment?
dimsum629 27
oh and the first pic is awesome. I just met with Linda, Snake, and Malachi this past Sunday. At the end of the day Michi was leaning against the car door with eyes half closed and drooling. lolol
