  1. Khya loves to roll around in GOOSE POOP. it must be the crack cocaine for dogs. she goes crazy. Then it is a battle to get her into the bathroom for a washdown because GOOSE POOP reeks even when you wash it off ugh
  2. Hi all, Our wild-at-heart Khya has a bad ear infection (diagnosed yesterday). Have antibiotic ear drops (Otomax) and ear wash. It has come down to wrapping her like an AI burrito to clean with cotton pad, get drops in and massage gently. Any advice / thoughts would be appreciated. Have no idea how she got it. None of my previous dogs ever had one. Thanks from -16 cold snap in Toronto Jo
  3. Thank you. I am pretty sure Khya would drop the bone if I had a treat - I will try. With any of my previous dogs, I have always been able to take anything out of the mouth, whether it was chewy stick, bone, whatever. This just caught me by surprise with Khya because previously she has never done this. A dogwalker friend suggested this behaviour is because BONES are a different ball game for them?
  4. We are so sorry for your loss my dear. Always they will walk beside you....
  5. Guys, Need advice please. Started last week giving our Khya raw bones. No problem last week, she took it and had fun. Today, gave her another. My son went over to where she was to pet her and she growled at him. He came to me and said half joking, 'do you think its cause there is blood on it - she's gone Cujo / Kraken? She was running all over the place with the bone, trying to hide. So I went over. Same thing. Throat growl, Head low. Dropped the bone and I grabbed it. Yelled very loudly at her and ignored. But I am at a loss - she has never done anything like this. But then aga
  6. thank you...did your vet offer to laser them off because they were inside the mouth? I am keeping Khya away from all other dogs until this is gone!
  7. Hi all, Just found out what I had thought was originally a pimple (albeit growing larger) - is in fact a papilloma. It is thankfully benign and there is only the one one just below her lower lip. Our vet said keep an eye on it but it should go away on its own. Caused by virus and can be contagious to other dogs. Showed me some awful cases. Has anyone else experienced this? Greg/Kim= FYI. Thanks from Jo and Khya in Toronto
  8. OMG they will be beautiful. one day, hope to add a second AI.
  9. I am going to 'mix it up" and use 3 different ones, per Sherab. Thank you for the information. Jo and Khya Found this article - more food for thought. by Lisa M. 10. Hi guys, Spoke to my vet and he is keeping an eye on this recent increase circulating in dog world. Guessing it has not hit our AI world. I feed Khya a grain free kibble by Simply Nourish (closest I could get here to what Greg/Kim feed the dogs down there). But it would fall into the peas, potatoes, flaxseed, tomato pumace, chicory root, canola oil, blueberries, carrots, spinach...etc. Let me know what other parents are feeding! Thanks!
