IIDOBA owner members ~

What a nice New Years present for the dogs from all of you. I wanted to also thank Larry & Judy Germain for there kind donation of food also, Tim James & Sandy Mays family’s for the dog food bags they brought out this last week & the nice service dog training they & Canine Angels are doing with our AIDogs. Including Janice Simpson for her donation to honor her AIDog Shadow from England; that allowed us to buy the T-shirts & hats available for sale Peter’s physical help when he comes here from Switzerland & his genetic research work he has done, along with the Zurich University. Plus a huge thanks to Bruce & Allison for there hard work creating & maintaining our IIDOBA members forum & hosting our many web sites, all this would not be possible without them. I wanted to also bring attention to the Native American boy in a juvenile facility in OK that collected $65.00 to help educate & save AIDogs. We are hoping to eventually get him an AIDog & maybe some for the juvenile facility itself to help in rehab therapy for the boys on the reservations.

To say nothing of all the past & continued help from individuals; like Cyndi Sixkiller for web site work, including those retired board members. Plus existing board members for that matter like Arlene as our registrar, Allison treasurer …… Pat Cummins as VP etc … & all the area rep., owners out there that we can refer new possible owners too ….. this helps so much for people to see AIDogs in person, or just learn from owners. Many of these owner & second generation owners (Tim James son’s for an example) will be the second generation owners now (including my daughter Alaisha & young Peter), that will be the next breed trustee’s that will be carrying the torch after I’m gone. We are actually hoping to become non-profit some time in the near future that will make donations become a write off for grants & donations for groups & individuals much easier. Any attorneys that can do this& deal with the paper work in the group (raise your hands) we can possibly also get a grant to get this done now & make it easier for future trustee’s in the future?

Song Dog Kennels is now getting out dated & freezer burned meat from some local markets & Taylor’s Meats 100’s of lbs at a time. This helps a lot mixed with the kibble dog food that we get. It’s a lot of work picking up & freezing the meat …. cooking & preparing it ….. but very good for the dogs & worth the financial help in the feed bill. Possibly instead of this donated money in IIDOBA going towards food, we might need this for rescues of AIDogs in need & or new bloodlines that we are now researching that we found near Chihuahua Mexico. Helping to get them out of there horrible situation down there back here to Song Dog Kennels for evaluation & possible new breeding lines.

Just for a little up-date …. The male dog “Nova” from the Island off of Nova Scotia is working out great & a very good example of his type from the North east. We will be breeding him any time now since he is over a year old now, with his perspective opposite female lines. I will send pictures soon to see him mature & looking great.

Thanks again so much for all your help & kind donations to help our breed survive into the future from the owners and the word of mouth education that brings to the public from owners themselves. With owners like this “we don’t need no AKC promoter marketers to “save” our breed” …. It’s word of mouth from owners that saves & educates, thanks to everyone & have a great New Year, shared with your dogs ~
