miz molly 1,800
You can get up to date forest fire information from http://www.yubanet.com I am told that this is where the fire fighters in the western states go to get their up to date information for conditions, planes, road closures, bulldozer's, the food line etc. Created and driven by a woman in Nevada City, Ca. because she thought it was the right thing to do. Gotta love this one. Look in your area for a similar info hub and post it here. We all want to know that those we love are safe. Enjoy your summer and stay cool.
Starghoti 466
Another good link for monitoring Oregon and Washington fire situations. NWCC It is clickable- like google maps, to get more information. In the past, there have sometimes been fires near Lake Selmac, so we monitor this link regularly.
MeganC 50
I think I posted this link last year sometime, but Dustin who is a firefighter for the forest service, got me using Inciweb for the past few years to keep track of the fires he works. You can search fires by state, forest, and individual fires. The site is usually updated each night and morning by the people working on the fire. There are also maps, photos, road closure notices, expected fire behavior, etc. http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/ Edited July 2, 2015 by MeganC
