What happens when 2 indian dogs raise a GSD? You get a very sweet, social GSD that points and has weaponized bottom. 2 Chickadees raising a goose: IMG_4761.png IMG_5099.png IMG_5071 (1).png IMG_5066.png IMG_5037 (1).png IMG_1490 (2).png IMG_5005.png IMG_1756 (1).png IMG_1660 (1).png

Thanks Sherab,

Those pics are GR8!!!!!

Fenris is quite the handsome guy.

(OF COURSE  the AI Dogs are too!)  Cake has matured into quite the beauty ....

I like Photo 6. Waki's "stylin'" spring into the air - and ya' can't teach that!

Denise, yep he's got a style all his own and I adore it. They've also taught Fenris to look me in the eye frequently to check in. I love that I don't have to hold treats up by my eyes and try to get Fen to look at me vs the treats.

Cake is the tan/brown one.

My girl, Tayamni is a half sister to Cake and Darmok because her daddy is Jay Silver Heels, too!

Cake is the blond. She's taken over Fenris's bed in photo 2. Denise I never know what to call her color. Some people ask me which is the orange dog or the red dog. I think she looks more butterscotch but different depending on the light.

And the pup facing away from the camera in photo 1 is not an AI dog? And the one in number 3 (showing its teeth) is that pup grown up, but is a shepherd?  That one and Darmok could be twins.  Very interesting!

Cake is a girl so I vote for Blonde or Butterscotch!
Some people tell me Tayamni is champagne. Seasonally she is. She changes coloring a little bit throughout the year.
A little more red and black hairs, then less black hairs and a more even light tan to ..... I dunno.
I know she blends well with drying prairie grasses! Also hard to spot her in brush, maybe her coloring is camouflage????? or coyote brown - LOL!!!!!

Does Cake do that? Have variations in her coat coloring through out the year????

Darmok is very handsome. You must get stopped all the time. We have the opposite. Most people don't believe Fen is a GSD. Fenris is the wee pup with Cake in the first picture and the giant 4 month old baby in the other pictures. He's going to be probably the largest GSD we've ever had. He's not even 1/2 his final size yet. His coat is called black sable. If you saw him you would not think he looks at all like Darmok structurally, except that he has upright ears and his coat color. You would also notice that his behavior is not much like an AID. He speaks a little AID based on Papa Waki and Mama Cake but with a distinct GSD accent. For example he rarely now bothers to point but when he does it's "I want" or" Can I have" not "oh look, game". He prefers pointing with his nose now more than with his leg. His drives are starting to come in, which is distinctly different from AIDs. Also he will be going to board and train plus we have socialized him with 561 people on track for 600 different people (direct contact) before 8 months. It's a necessarily much more serious training commitment. AIDs are much easier to have as go anywhere dogs. That said, the coyotes stopped coming and pooping right up by the house as soon as Fen came home. They don't sing to us at night either. A little GSD pee does wonders apparently.

Oooo, Champagne. I like that. I think Cake looks very consistent but changes in ambient light make a difference - much like sunset against a canyon.

The goose is getting big.. IMG_1809.png IMG_1810.png IMG_5331 (1).png IMG_5337.png

We got to see how dogs are trained for drug detection. It involves a lot of hot dog. Fen was suppose to have his nose tested but his head was too big for the testing device. Oh well. Not sure I want him to be able to detect pot. It could make for some awkard camping in Colorado...

Wakinyan and Fenris compete to sit on each other. Fen will stick his nose under Waki's belly and slide under him, going down on one shoulder so that Waki ends up on top of Fen's belly. Waki will then try to pin Fen by sitting on him. IMG_5533 (1).jpg It doesn't work. In the truck the boys compete for the front seat. I had to throw out the 15 year old ruff wear tent Waki loved because it was falling a part and starting to smell (can't wash it). He loves his replacement tent ⛺️ probably in part because Fen can't it into it. IMG_5588.jpg IMG_5591.jpg Cake and Fen have been playing "pass the apple"with a little red ball. I'll try to get some pictures. Darn I'm back to wee tiny pictures again.

OMG, I  was dying laughing looking at the pictures and the descriptions!!!!! This is EXACTLY what Kitchee and Wyot do! They do the back and forth stealing the chew toy that houses the bully stick....in and out of the kitchen, until a tussle ensues, with a bit of AID "talking" back and forth, then rolling around, and then Wyot squishes him into a corner and sits on him, while Kitchee wriggles out and nips at his neck, at which point Wyot's mouth goes over Kitchee's entire head (those teeth, lol! ), then the barking...which prompts me to settle them with a "quiet" command...and they go under the bench, laying on each other, just looking out at me- like we are good boys, now mama, LOL! Quiet ensues for a bit as they each chew on their own sticks, together. Just love watching them together!
