Mooka's Life In The Woods

Recommended Posts

so a day in the life of mooka in the woods,we taught him to chance the canadian geese away only took 1.5 days of saying geese, and he would run like he was trying to win the race (boy they can run fast)you see these dam bird, yes i know they are our offical birds but holy what a pain they are, they live on the property next to us but come here to go to the bathroom and good what a mess)so even now if he is in the house and hears them scawking even if he is sound asleep the head goes up so high and the ears are straight up and he runs to the door and howls till we let him out and off he goes and in less than 3 seconds he is at the creek barking at them to go away and he stays there till they have all left and there is now about 30 of them, and on a funnier note when he is in the longer grass you can see him jumping up and down ,at first i thought he was just crazy then i realized he his chaning the frogs and jumping like they do boy he is such a character ,here is is sleeping with his other favorite girl(bella)who when they are running around outside he will start stalking her and then poff the chase is on, of course i am is first lol

Having a moment

This looks like a potential "Wild Goose Chase." ......after the water subsides.

I want this life

I love it! In Seattle there was much debate about ways to rid the parks of the geese. Poison, traps,...many things were bandied around. I thought, why not sell time slots to people with dogs? The park would make money and get rid of their problem, no poison, no traps, and dogs would get to have a good run.

Funny about his frog jumping.

I don't have any geese but......

Birds...."Tolinka" watches the ducks, hawks, crows and other birds in the sky.....barks a grrrruff bark at them while prancing around. He sits quietly for my hens. ;)

Birds...."Two Step" side steps the hens and just quietly watches them. He can't see the birds in the sky or at least pretends he doesn't.

Birds....And then there is Rain...The hens got into my garden the other day and she had a ball chasing after them causing quite a flurry of birds, chasing them back and fourth barking, dodging and ducking until they all reached safety on the other side of the fence. The other two sat with me quietly watching Rains circus act.

I'll bet that was fun to watch.

So....... it was only Rain that chased the hens...the other two were watching her with me...I trained the other two not to chase the hens. Now I gotta get on that one with Rain as well.

No, but tell us how it goes. I would love to try that.

so update on mooka's canoe ride well did not go so good my scott(my son) put in him and as scott was getting in mooka jumped out and tipped the canoe enough that he took a dip in the creek, well will try again next year as they have since started replacing our bridge on the road and blocked the water.

Oh. So glad you told us it did not go well. Not everything is perfect on the first try. Otherwise, they would not call it "training", they would call it "telling".

So another winter in the woods and mooka has decided he loves all the snow and has to pretend that it is bathroom time even if he has just came in,me being human would let him out then i woke up to what he was doing so now if i see him walking around my kitchen island more than 3 times and whinny and talking back to me which he seems to love i let him out and he runs around like a nutbar, and when it like -20 out and i only let him stay out dor a couple of min boy do i get an earful for making him come in.he is going through this thing where he like to argue with my husband i have to tell then both to grow up lol and when ever my hushand come near me mooka barks and does a belly growl as if to say stay away shea mine but all in all he is great never goes near the road or front of the house which is good as we do not have a fence and the road can some times be busy oh the life of a dog

Love watching the changes in these pups as they grow! Mooka has awesome markings.

Then of course there are the puppy changes - and one day finally you wake up and the puppy has grown up. :)
