Allison 2,369
If you click on "Forums" and scroll all the way down, you will see Mark Community as read. Click on that, and all the Icons should turn pale, and you will know where the new conversation is happening.
Allison 2,369
Okay, pictures are not auto resizing.......there is one bug. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will see it in the lower left--Mark Community As Read.
Allison 2,369
Whoops. It says Mark Community Read. (No as)
Karen 41
So, this is the first topic I read when I signed in today, because it was the first negative thing I noticed the other day. I'll see what happens when I click the button. My problem was that once I read one message and went back to the "new content" part, all of the other new messages disappeared. Also, I can't tell if you are having conversations with people that I can't see, or just posting a few things on a topic you opened. I'm glad I have a few minutes tonight - I've been swamped making Christmas gifts. Maybe tomorrow we can get the tree.
Allison 2,369
You can tell by going to the index. At the top of every page you will see tabs. "Forums" will take you to the index. You can also click on " American Indian Dogs" at the top of any page, or click on the "Main Forums" link from the front page-the picture with the running squirrel. Lots of ways to get to the index, and that will help you to see where people are talking, and also to understand how the forum is put together. It is like the Table of Contents, in a book. I believe the pictures are working now, and I'll put up a tutorial.
Karen 41
What I'm not seeing is something that functions like the "view new topics" link at the top right of the old forum. That's what I used to read new posts since my last login. The "new content" link does what I described above - clears all new topics the first time I click on it. Allison 2,369
Upper right, even on this thread, says "View New Content". In the dark blue banner...upper right. Might need to wait til we've said a few things. Let me know how it works. I don't usually use that feature, as I prefer to go through the index which shows all new posts, and where people are talking, where they have responded, etc., but I will try it and see how it's working. Karen 41
It's working fine now. It is a timesaving feature - I've never found it to miss posts, it keeps me current. I mean, except for the little hiccup when the new board first debuted.
