Darmok is growing so fast. He is now nearly 34 pounds and getting taller every day. The trainer I'm working with is teaching me new and interesting technigues for working with him. Its so very different working with a tranier who is commited to force free techniques only.

Darmok is fully housebroken, crate trained, does very well in the car on his tether, is very food motivated for training, is learning to be a walking partner, is excellent with other dogs and rarely barks. There are several things we are still working but this is a long process and I'm just really happy that he is doing as well as he is considering how much of a wild child he is. He really hates the rain and we are working on changing that. He also, in the middle of a walk, decides that the leash is his mortal enemy and attempts to "kill" it. If it wasn't for his trainer, I would have been at a loss as to what to do with this little powerhouse with sharp teeth and claws.

We go to a few different dog parks so he can run wild with his new friends. Here's a short video of our last trip but oddly enough no one was there.

Wow! I need a trainer! What a dog park, too. I am so impressed.

I love to hear you using the cheek click that people use for horses. We use that, and it works in so many situations.
