Hi Guys,

We made it. People at Buffalo Baggage Claims were awesome & fell all over themselves with our baby. Holding her for a cuddle and admiring her beauty. She did seem a little stressed, abit overwhelming I'm sure.

My son wrapped her in a warm blanket and carried her to the car.

Mom acted like the Sherpa & lugged everything else. LOL

She was awesome. Cried LOUDLY on highway - we pulled over. She did her business, ran around abit and back in the car. She did NOT want back in the carrier, so fell asleep with my son.

More coming - but had a very good night.

Can someone tell me how to post photos? I cannot seem to locate the 'upload' icon?

Thanks!

Awesome. Click on More Reply Options bottom RHS of the text box. Click on Choose File Bottom LHS of text box. Browse and select the picture you wish to upload. It should show up next to the Choose File button unless your photo is too big and then you will get the wheel of doom followed by an error message or not - it might eventually show up only to fail in the next step. IF too big, save your photo so that it will be smaller than 2 MB. If your photo file is next to the Choose File button then Click on Attach this file. Look at the wheel near Clear Selection. You might still be too big. or not. If too big you will get an error message. Try making your file smaller again. Rinse and Repeat. Eventually you should see a microscopic version of your file below the text box and on the RHS "Add to Post" and "Delete" choices. Good luck. You might have to export your photos from how ever you store them (like iPhoto) into a .PNG or .JPEG file to get the size needed.

If your process is more complicated then that it will be beyond my skills to heal and you will need to find a magic elf..

Welcome, Khya!!!!! So glad she made it home safe with you...funny how these two have their pictures taken together on their trip to the vet from Song Dog, and they both have names starting with a K....Khya and Kitchee!

I too am techno impaired when it comes to posting pics...I've got great video and pics of my two in just the few hours we've brought him home...hopefully I can upload them and take them off my phone to here. Will love to hear updates as Khya adjusts to life in her new home with you! :)

Hi all,

We had a great first night. Tried cramming our girl back into The Crate. Wasn't having it. Believe it or not, she slept with my son-curled at his feet-all night. No accidents. Up early for a wet & cold introduction walk. Have to get her a coat which we did this afternoon.

Day 1 in a new environment and she will go to the door and let me know. UNREAL.

I had a palm tree in the corner of my dining room which I had to remove and it is now sitting on TOP of my dining room table. She recognized it had moved and went to the corner and was whimpering - where's my tree I wanted to chew the bark off of?

Her paws did not touch the ground at Canadian Tire where she charmed everyone, once she got used to the cart.

Of course, she had firm plastic grocery bag and her blanket and stuffie in there. Sitting in there like Royalty!

Considering the very long journey, 3 plane rides, a very long car ride back to Ontario and all new stressors - she has shone pretty damn brightly.

Mind you, driving to Canadian Tire - she cried like she hadn't eaten in a week!

Truly, these dogs are amazing, aren't they? Kitchee seems to LOVE the snow...he rolled in it and jumps just like a mini porpoise, just like his big brother!
