Reign 9
I got my puppy Reign on september 8th. The moment i saw him i loved him. He is super adorable and very smart! I threw in some rocks at the pond across my street to show him the splash, then i said you try and placed a rock on a ledge and he nudged it in with his nose! I love having Reign in my family he's my dog so the responsibility is very high. I hope to learn a lot and i still have questions. He is a great dog i love his coat color and his eyes! His eyes are light grey blue. Heres some pictures of Reign,
Denise E. 1,485
Is he from Kona x Rowdy? (Just wondering .... )  Smart little guy! You're bonding already, sweet! Thanks for starting a topic! Will love hearing about the milestones and adventures here.  I'm still on the waiting list so I'm learning from everyone  There are plenty of AI Dog owner's here willing to share their experiences and suggestions. Also, if you haven't already you can search for topics and read older posts.  I've absorbed a lot that way. I've raised other dog breeds but not an AI Dog (yet, soon maybe? ).

Sherab 2,337
Mr. Ean I presume, of the photos - Ean's pup? Wonderful to have you on the board. Ask us anything you need to ask.  Yes a pup is a wonderful gift for a boy to raise. It is a lot of responsibility. I am glad you are taking that on. You are also smart, you see the reward that comes with the responsibility-a best friend who will love you and always be there for you. He will need you very much in the beginning. He will be a baby now and you have to protect him from hurting himself while he learns (about cars, getting in and out of the water, what is ok to put in his mouth, all sorts of things). Then as a teen he will need your guidance and patience (especially patience). Just as with people, he might get a bit confused about what you have taught him and test boundaries when he is a teen but don't worry, just be consistent. As an adult he will always need your love.  Looks like you are into water sports. If it's not too cold start introducing him to water and water safety with baby steps. Some of the dogs are fish and others can be cats. See how he is. Next season he'll be full sized so you can get him a good life preserver. I recommend one with a good lifting handle.  http://www.boatus.org/findings/51/ http://www.boatus.co.../52/default.asp  Some of the folks on the forum do water sport or live on the water. If you have questions you can always post a topic and also you might want to reach out via the email function to Nessa who has friends that taught their dog Halfmoon to body surf to see how they went about doing that. Long Island Scott lives on the water and fishes regularly. He doesn't post often so reaching out via the email function might help. Keywestmama also lives on the water - in the Florida Keys. http://www.iidoba.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3085&hl=sequoia http://www.iidoba.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2922&hl=sequoia#entry25652  Many folks hike and probably a few rock climb. I thought I saw a post a while back about lifting harnesses (possibly from Woodrat). Ruffwear makes good lifting harnesses, including one that is rated for rappelling. http://www.ruffwear.com/DoubleBack-Harness?sc=2&category=1131 Edited September 29, 2014 by Sherab

miz molly 1,800
Hi Ean, looks like "Reign" is a little fire ball. I can see his energy in his body language....looks like there is a lot of it too. You will definitely have your hands full, and Sherab is so right on...patience is the key. I learned early on that if I whisper my requests to my pups, they pay real close attention. What a looker he is.....WOW! Enjoy every minute of him as a pup, they grow so fast that you can see the growth happening before your eyes. Ya know how much we love to hear what's going on with the pups...our extended family, ....so keep us in your loop.
