More Pics- this time with stories.. :)

So we got in "late" Thursday afternoon/evening around 5pm.

Set up camp and had dinner and pretty much just chilled out and enjoyed the not-rushing aspect of having made it there.

The next morning, we woke up and could appreciate the beauty and nature around us.

Morning at Mallard.jpg

Jasper, being a veteran camper, knew what to do.

We went and played ball and generally had dog-fun at the ball field. (sshhh, don't tell the park rangers, but the puppy was the only one on leash ;) )

Friday afternoon, it got pretty hot out and the kids just wanted to be comfy.

and be snuggly

And apparently, fierce.. lol

Kaneh really got the hang of this camping thing.

We also enforced, from the start, the camp=house rule.

Nobody likes dogs that pee in camp.. :)

Saturday night, about halfway through the bonfire social, the dogs and I totally folded.J is tireds.jpg

And much fun was had by all, and everyone had a pleasant- though weary trip home..

also a couple days before the Gathering, a funny incident occurred. I was sending the kids to their Crates, and.. well, there was some confusion.. LOLOL

This is Rachael, Paduk (sp?) and Niki who owns Nefrit (the original Shasta):

Better pic of Niki. She glows, and was a lot of fun. Nefrit (Shasta) is very happy with her:

Another good one of Anna with pack:

Our intrepid fishermen, Gwydo and Scott, out for a spin, and to do battle with the lakes legendary denizens of the deep:

We took Scott and Diana to the vet with Little Tree. It was a perfect match. They were all silly for each other:

Little Tree can't believe she has to wait another day to be with Scott and Diana, permanently. They have a hard time, too, but it is only one night. So hard to wait. Remember that when you are asking your dog to sit:

Krista was there with Hopi and Yana. I did not get pictures of them, I am so sorry to say. They were also happy and beautiful.

That night we had a bonfire. Roasted marshmallows, the whole bit. It was Paduk's (sp?) first marshmallow. Very funny. Maybe they were meant for kids, after all.

Lovely people, lovely time. Made some good lasting friends.
