Kim La Flamme and Song Dog Kennels is happy to announce the arrival of the 2020 Spring litter from SDK Jada X SDK Choco last week.

Please read the following information, especially if you are on the waiting list.

First off, we have many more people on the waiting list than we have pups in this litter.  With that being said, we will be making another breeding, or two, just as soon as a female comes into season.  We have been on the lookout for the next breeding, since the last one we made did not take.

Secondly, a little about this litter.  Jada had four healthy pups in this litter, three (3) males and one (1) female all primarily black in color.  Remember, it is more about the personality in this breed matched to the family then it is about the sex or the color.  There are many in this community who may be willing to chime in on that fact.  We understand that those on the waiting list may want to hold out for a particular sex and/or color and that is fine.  Just remember that the wait may be longer.  A couple of years ago, our litters were producing more females than males.  Recently, the opposite is happening, our litters have been producing more males than females.  But again, it is more about the personality than the sex.

The third point which needs to be made here, is for those who are requiring shipping of their puppy.  As everyone should be aware, we are dealing with this Coronavirus issue here in the United States.  With all of the travel restriction in place, cargo shipping has also been affected.  As of today (May 21, 2020), the two of the three major airlines we use (Delta and United) have suspended shipping of pets until further notice.  Alaska Airlines allows for “direct flights” only (no connecting flight allowed).  For those waiting for a puppy and were relying on shipping, you may want to look into alternative means like contacting airlines and inquire about flying out and a return flight with your puppy as carry-on.

As always, we will not begin the individual assessment of the pups until they are about four (4) weeks old.  This information is being put out so those on the waiting list are aware of the current situations and can begin thinking about what your response will be IF you are contacted.  If there are any questions, feel free to contact us.

Pictures coming soon.

Well said Greg.  Good luck "waiting list people." ........and the wait begins. Enjoy the journey and remember learning and teaching "patience" is vital. A very hard virtue to achieve when puppies are involved. I have 3  so I know how that one goes.

The one on the left looks like he/she is bigger than the rest.

Wow, time goes by fast.  These pups are five weeks old now and taking advantage of the nice weather we are having.  Enjoy the pics.

You can say that again Lisa. I love that their eyes are awake and observing now. The black and white pup with blue eyes definitely has something to say in the second photo. ha ha.
