Hailey and Tolinka download.jpg

The pups remember Hailey when she visits every summer with her grand parents. The bond that Tolinka and Haily have is pretty remarkable and has been since day one of their meeting.

JKidsBall.jpg

Jas playing with a couple kids at the local school.

He brought the ball and is 'tossing' it to the older girl. :)

He made them take turns, by who he brought the ball to -lol

We had a couple of grand kids for a few days. Ayita was infatuated with the little one. Morgan taught her the "hug" command.

Those are lovely photos. I might have to go and borrow the neighbor kids. I don't think it would be difficult. They all like Sitka.

Let me add these instead:

My granddaughter Lacey & her AIDog Lily .... more like sisters than 2
different species; sharing everything 24 - 7. .......My daughter says they are amazing to watch, Lacey talks & plays with her like she is another person & Lily treats Lacey like she is just another dog to play with … they howl & talk together like they know what the other is talking about.

I love to see these pups with the kids! Chhaya will instantly stop what she's doing when she hears or see them and her tail begins to wag, ears flop back and forth, then she will take a step forward and turn and look my way as if to ask "can I go play?". She actually senses if the child is afraid and will approach at different speeds depending on what she is sensing from them...amazes me every time...makes my heart swell every time!

That IS pretty amazing! And I love it when animals, not just dogs, are in tune to such feelings. My guy only knows one speed so far, which is Mach 7. We're working on that, lol. I am confident though that when he outgrows his puppyhood (he'll turn 4 months old on Friday), he will be a bit calmer and more aware of other people's needs. (I'm hoping, anyway).

LOL I understand that Mach 7 and he will slow down and mature into those senses....it's really no different from a child to an adult...when we found out my Mom had cancer Chhaya rubbed gently up against her and began to howl...still brings tears to my eyes....my mom is holding her own and every Sat I go to clean, of course Chhaya goes along, she is careful around my Mom. I have never had a dog that is so in tune with me and my family too...I can never thank Kim enough for all he does with these dogs!!!

I also know that Mach 7 well! Boone was the craziest puppy I have ever seen. He will be a year old in September and he is finally calming down. We have a neighbor with a 2 year old who referred to Boone as a toddler with Attention Deficit Disorder. We hadn't seen her in awhile and happened to run into them on our morning walk today. She was amazed and couldn't believe it was the same dog. Boone sat politely at her daughter's feet, licked her hands & face and then rolled on his back for a belly rub. She said she remembers thinking our dog was just plain crazy lol

Maria, I am truly sorry to hear about your mom, but I am happy to hear she is holding her own. That is very touching about how in tune Chhaya is. Dogs really are amazing and teach us so much.

DrRichard - That is funny. It's amazing how quickly they mature! I am enjoying the Mach 7 moments ... for the MOST part. For a few days I was on crutches (I'm fine) and so the super sonic sprints weren't so fun when trying to walk him... especially when coming up on other children or dogs!!! But we all survived and all is good, and today is day 2 off the crutches. Yay! The Dog Run is just a few minutes' walk from home, and I love to see him running with the big dogs ... and keeping up with them... with his "clumsy" gallop. The people there laugh (in admiration) when they see him play. Especially the children at the run. But he doesn't stay still long enough for anyone to pet him for more than a few seconds. I swear, I think his dog food contains Cafe Bustelo or something! I really cannot wait until he is old enough go running with me. He needs it!!!
