Starghoti 466
And he has the most beautiful eyes! (not that I am biased or anything - lol) Â Â He was just zoning on the couch, half asleep. Edited May 7, 2012 by Starghoti
Allison 2,369
Whoa! Those are exceptionally beautiful eyes.
Starghoti 466
LOL- hardest part is to catch them when they aren't moving... Â And yeah- I think so. Tho I am sure there are hundreds more beautiful eyes out there- I think it should be added to the breed standard. Â "Exceptional beauty and depth of eye color, preferable" Â LOL

Star, Those are some amazing eyes on Jas. I enlarged the photo, and there are so many colors there. Surrounding his pupils it looks like there is some blue. Months ago I took this picture of Tolinka's eyes because I was also captivated by the depth and coloration. His eyes show a bit of green surrounding the pupils. Interesting. The eyes definitely have it in this breed. Anymore eyes out there???? http://www.iidoba.org/forums/style_images/.../attach_add.png
Gib 291
Starghoti, Â Thanks for the closeup of Jas' eye. Â Here's a picture of Draco's eyes. It doesn't show the deep blue, so I will keep trying. Â But, the red...... Â Â On a walk the other night I introduced him to two young girls and told them his name was Draco the dragon. One of the girls said, "I knew he was a dragon cuz his eyes shine red."
Farber 0
I think that AIdogs are the most photogenic dogs out there! I am biased, but I am also a photographer and I do specialize in pets, so I think it evens out! Great shots!!! Â LOL-hardest part is to catch them when they aren't moving... Â And yeah- I think so. Farber 0
To get a shot without giving Draco red or green eyes.. go outside and use no flash on an overcast day, it will do you wonders!  Starghoti, Thanks for the closeup of Jas' eye.  Here's a picture of Draco's eyes. Starghoti 466
@ Gib- Yeah I've seen Draco's eyes, and Rocco's- They are beautiful. The greens and Blues are kewl. Allison- Coyo has the most bizarrely beautiful eyes I have ever seen on a dog. The Pewter-green-gold is amazing! Goes very nicely with the hints of gold in his coat MizM- Yeah Tolinka has the same kind of eyes as Jasper, except where Jas's are Gold/fire with Green and blue in charcoal, Tolinka has Cream/gold with green in kind of a seafoam color. Love the eyes.  We should just have an "Eyes Have It" thread. lol  (sorry, I seem to have started something.)  And

Allison 2,369
Farber, thanks for the tip. You could get a lot of work at one of our Gatherings. I'd love to have a good photo of my boys. Â Are you on the waiting list for one of our dogs, or did you simply find us, and decide to tease us? Â Â Now how do I turn off that darn flash....? Guess I'll have to read those directions again. Farber 0
I've had an AIdog for the past 8 years, tried uploaded a photo of him and my daughter as my profile photo, but it won't let me. Just got remarried and we moved out of my folks house, My daughter is missing Arrow terribly, so we are getting one of Mesa's girls hopefully, a belated gift from Santa for Lily, She is going to go BONKERS!!!! She carries around a photo of Arrow as a puppy and says she wishes she was alive to see him so tiny (she's 5) If you need any pointers on getting some killer shots, I'm your girl! Allison 2,369
If that's the photo of Arrow with your daughter, it worked, and it's terrific. I know that pose, of the dog looking over my shoulder--love it. We look out the window from our stairs, that way. Â I'll upgrade your account, and you will have full privileges. Sherab 2,337
I would have to agree that the eyes make this breed really stand apart. Our little guy has liquid chocolate eyes, so not unique or intense, like many of his kin. Just the same the shape keys people in that this isn't quite typical. I really expected people to ask what sort of mutt he is but so far people think he's some kind of husky.
