  1. Thanks everyone for the input. I will continue to watch what Mishe eats and is around. May I keep her safe and seizure free.
  2. Sounds like my girl and your pup are siblings just not sure if they came from the same liter. So happy to hear your pup is healthy and seizure free. Thanks for responding.
  3. Hi everyone, sorry I havent been active with the group. Im checking in because my girl, Mishe Mokwa, had a seizure tonight. This is the third one since Thanksgiving. Mishe is 3 years old. Her parents are Cree and Jay Silver Heels. She came from the fall 2016 liter. I brought her home December of 2016. I was wondering if any other siblings are having seizures? Also, any advise on preventing seizures? We stopped heart worm, flea tick meds. She eats Blue kibble grain free and homemade food like eggs, turkey, cooked veggies, yogurt, cream occasionally blueberries.. thanks for any help
  4. Hey Greg thanks for your pennies in a bottle idea. I'm confident it will work. I work tomorrow night so I'll try it Saturday morning when I get home. She is so intuitive I know we will have this down in no time. Thanks again for your advice. I really appreciate it.
  5. Mishe Mokwa will be 1 year old this month. Time flies so quickly. She is so smart and learns quick or should I say I learn quick. My problem I can't seem to conquer is her jumping on me when I come home from work. I'm gone for 14 hours. She is so excited & will sit when I ask her to & I pet her and talk to her & when I try to go to the kitchen she jumps all over me again. I've tried ignoring her. I've tried getting down to her eye level to exchange greetings. Any suggestions I'd really appreciate. Thanks

  7. I flew December 2016 with my baby girl, Mishe Mokwa. We flew from Portland, OR to Detroit, MI on Delta. I think I paid $100.00 to have her as my carry on. She had to be in a pet carrier that fits under the seat. Delta requires pups be 10 weeks old. Mishe Mokwa was only 9 weeks. I had a moment of panic that the Delta attendant wouldn't let us fly. I begged 'Tis the season' and he gave me my boarding pass. That was the worse of it. Mishe Mokwa was an angle. No accidents, no whining or crying, absolutely perfect. I'd definitely fly again with a pup. Just double check the airline requir
  8. Oh yes please!! I'd love to attend the Memorial Day gathering if possible...life happenings don't get in the way. It sounds wonderful and we'd love to meet our fellow A.I.D. Thanks for the welcoming words. Megwetch, Susie and Mishe Mokwa
  9. Both amazing, beautiful dogs. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Hello fellow Michigander. I am so excited. We should plan a romp around sometime in the summer. We also have a home in Frederic..near Gaylord. I'm not sure where exactly Sanford is but I bet Ms. Google knows. Once I figure out how to post pics I will. I can't seem to upload them from my phone. Thanks for posting.
  11. Special thanks to Greg and Kim for all you do. Without you two and all the others who love and honor the American Indian Dog I wouldn't be blessed with my Mishe Mokwa. You are the best of the best. You do a service which is a true labor of love and share so willing with others. Many blessing to all. Megwetch.
  12. Greetings All, Sorry to say I am new at this posting and posted my first post to Introducing Kajika..sorry. I picked up Mishe from Kim on December 13 and stayed at my daughter's in Portland, OR until December 18 when Mishe and I flew home via Delta to Michigan. She was my carry on luggage and did perfect. FYI Delta has a rule of pups needing to be 10 weeks old to fly. She was a couple of days short of 10 weeks but bless the attendant for looking the other way. Mishe is adjusting well to our lives in Michigan. She is one of the family and we are blessed to have her with us. Kim
  13. Greetings everyone. This is my first posting. I picked up my girl, Mishe Mokwa (Mother Bear) from Kim on December 13. Greg was so helpful with tips on training and pups in general. Big shout out to Greg...thanks for all you do. I enjoyed meeting you and appreciate all your help. Kim..thanks for all you do also. You have a beautiful family and I am blessed to be a Watcher/momma of one spirited little girl. You said she was the shy one..not anymore. She is confident, outspoken, spirited, and smart..oh so smart. I love her so. We stayed with my daughter in Portland, OR through Decembe
