miz molly 1,800
Quote Kim LaFlamme: I’m happy to say that Newkim is returning to the Yukon (although I will miss him), he will be a good breeder to help continue the, “breeding program” to help bring back the Tahltan Bear dogs in Canada. I have bred him 3 times to different AI dog females & kept 3 of his offspring to continue those lines within the AI dog breeding program. Please read the, “Complete tail of the Tahltan bear Dogs” on my web site & our AI dog owners forum.I wish Dawn Charlie; (who donated him to us, in return of an AI dog to help their breeding program, bringing in some unrelated First Peoples old bloodlines). Sure wish she was still with us to enjoy seeing him again, but I’m sure she is there in spirit with her daughter Cindy, that I hope has some unrelated females to cross him with or at least the AI dog that I sent her?He left here with Leslie Markham, that is on our waiting list for a pup, going from AZ to Alaska, dropping him off to Rea-Bran Linton that will be delivering him to Shirley Quash. (I hope Shirley doesn’t mind, but I’m including a sweet recent picture of Shirley after she got her hair cut). Shirley has the bloodlines that she gave to Harvey with Ursula, that we bred to get Little Bear in the AI dog registry now. I’m hoping Cindy, Shirley & Camille, (that also have a TBD crossed with an AI dog) can use him in their breeding program with more unrelated females to continue the, “Tail of the Tahltans”. I have a little ≤ tail male pup that I’m now keeping for future breeding: to honor the TBD’s within our breeding program as well, that is from my old TBD bloodlines that I got back in the 60’s.Maybe we can talk Leslie Markham into telling us about her experience with Newkim during transport … I want to thank Dawn Charlie for the loan of Newkim & now realize why she was so close to him … a great example of the old TBD’s, (a sweet little guy that thinks he’s 10’ tall) that could take on any grizzly bear --- & the story goes on.
Sherab 2,337
That's Waki and Lili's daddy. Waki is also a sweet little guy that thinks he's 10' tall. This little man of mine hunts and feeds his girl.
Chinatola 927
Yes, he is! She on the other hand will most likely charm the fur off the Grizzly and then convince the bear to do her bidding including and especially the retrieval of the bright orange tennis ball which has recently gained supreme optimus maximus status and therefore holds sway over lesser beings who should, by their very nature, be required to bring the ball to her so that she may then ignore it and position herself for the next toss. PS. Good luck Newkim Edited May 16, 2014 by Chinatola
Sri 384
I'm so stoked to be a little part of this amazing story, this heart-full and intelligent effort to not only bring these spirit dogs back, but to help them evolve. One of the dogs in my area that I visited before choosing to get on the list had some TBD in him, and he is a real delight...so sweet, and such a clown...

Sherab 2,337
If you use the edit function - you have limited time before you get cut off. Here's the rest of my post. http://www.picsearch.com/imageDetail.cgi?id=eXyicbppuHJ1SysBCtQlB5ajLyeYfPz7w0p5fOcS4BM&start=1&q=Tahltan%20Bear%20Dog So basically I can carry Waki for as long as I like and have been able to do so since I got him. I haven't owned another dog that is so willing to be carried around. Waki also has that longer hair on the nape of the neck that can be seen on this dog: http://www.desktopas.com/nice-tahltan-bear-dog-picture-600560.html
