KittynDoc 968
Video (1).MOV Day two: Wyot is getting used to his role, and is starting to get protective of little Kitchee....he reigns him in when they are both off leash, in the field behind our house, when I ask him to. They play really well together, and they each try to get one over on the other! I attached a video, which I hope comes out so you can see it. They are also finally napping closer and closer to each other. At first, when Kitchee passed out near my feet, or on the towel that he sleeps on in his crate (well, he dosen't exactly sleep well in there yet, but it's getting better, lol!), Wyot would go in the other room and curl up. Now, he is nearby, cautiously watching over him, and then falling asleep as well. I LOVE watching the two of them together, and even at this early stage, to see the bonding between them. The only way I can feed Wyot is after Kitchee has eaten, played, and passed out. I think that Wyot knows it is safe, and it also almost seems like he doesn't want to stand in Kitchee's way when he DOES try to hoover up his food- he won't protect it, just watches him go at it....which I now prohibit by using a gentle water spray at Kitchee...who now backs down and settles guiltily on a pad I have by the sink. I say NO gently but emphatically, and say "that's Wyot's food"...he backs off! I think routine will settle in soon, and then things will get better in that aspect. I'm the one that is running around trying to monitor Kitchee to teach him to go "outside" for potty. Wyot learned faster, but I think it is because Kitchee has Wyot as a distraction, so he isn't catching on right away (you know, the old "there's something more interesting than going potty"!). At this point in time, though, he's gotten treats every time he goes, because actually, when I say pee or poop, Kitchee, he actually DOES! So, "good boy" follows, and he gets a treat. Whew...I'm getting it too, lol!! Edited February 16, 2018 by KittynDoc

KittynDoc 968
your dogs are so cute! We are on the waiting list, so excited! This will be our second AiDog. Thank you! Already, it's a true blessing to have two of them. It's a bit more work training the second pup (distractions), but SO worth it! They really do recognize each other as relatives. I'm so excited for you! It is so wonderful, and as usual Kim does such an excellent job at discerning which pup would match our household and our other dog. How old is your first AI dog?
doubledranch 9
She passed about 2 years ago :-( This new puppy will have 2 older brothers, mutts. It was time for us to get another dog as our oldest one is 12-1/2. We just loved our AiDog so much so decided to go that route this time. Looking forward to another one, nothing like them!
KittynDoc 968
Ohhh... so sorry...I'm sure she was with you a long time. What a fun pack you will have! And the excitement of a new little one, especially, as you know, these line of dogs already!
