Starghoti 466
What am I going as for Halloween? Asleep My alarm goes off at 1:15 am for work tomorrow... Needless to say- we are 'hiding' tonight, cordoning off the porch steps, shutting the windows, and going to bed... ah well.

Sherab 2,337
Heh people just want to have fun... I like days of the dead. It's one of the things I miss about the Southwest. While I don't personally hold to the idea that once a sentient passes they stay stuck in the mold of personality and ghostly form as I knew them, I do like the idea of honoring that being and reaching out to their mind stream, wishing them well and that their evolution into beauty continues. I like the scull decorations and the acceptance and willingness to look at the reality of life and death. Plus the breads are yummy. We use to do something similar but much more somber on Memorial Day when I was a kid. I don't know of any families that go to the grave yard for same today. I think it's nice that day of the dead is catching on. - http://www.celebrate-day-of-the-dead.com/day-of-the-dead-traditions.html On my bucket list: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Calavera-Coalition-Day-of-the-Dead-Mesilla-NM/121181091301252?sk=photos_stream Edited November 1, 2014 by Sherab

[img=http://www.iidoba.org/forums/public/style_images/master/attachicon.gif] jamesbond.jpg That's cute! Which Bond? I'm thinking either Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, or maybe David Niven??? Allison 2,369
David Niven or Sean Connery, that way I can explain away his accent. By the way, loved that "Fight Me" vid.
