Allison 2,369
I was gone for a couple weeks, and my hummingbird feeders were covered with wasps and hornets. If you keep changing the food regularly, they don't seem to be a problem, but as the sugar water ferments, it draws them. So I was using a technique that I have learned from AIDogs......the Shop Vac. First you get a chair (you can't the see the wasp on the corner of the seat but the little bugger is there): Then you put soapy water in your Shop Vac. Mrs. Meyers is very bubbly: Then you get a six-pack, or in my case, a glass of champagne: Next, you slowly sidle up to them, while they are drinking. They get mad at the nozzle, and when they attack it, they get sucked up into the soapy water. They feel like little rocks going up the tube. No poison, done, and good clean fun. Time for the second round.....
