Sri 384
Whoops I just noticed that a topic had already been started for the reviews of the gathering! Oh well can't figure out how to delete so I will just keep this one here as is Greetings y'all. Well that was satisfying and fun! The weather was phenomenal. The campsite shady, flat, and pleasant. The AI people were all friendly, helpful, warm, and inviting. And it was great to be around so many people who love and talk about their dogs as much as me The food at the Saturday afternoon potluck/grill was incredible! Lots of homemade treats...pies, jerky, smoked tuna and salmon, lovingly prepared salads etc. Oh did I mention the dogs? The dogs the dogs the dogs the DOGS! Each one as beautiful, unique, mischievous, intelligent, and wonderful as the next. I fell in love with ALL of them. And my sweet beloved Sita was entirely in her element, her happy natural state, within the pack of her DNA family. Wow. It was a wonder to behold. Not having spent much time with other AI dogs, I came to see that while each certainly had their own unique personality, things that to me had been unique to Sita are really shared traits amongst the breed...the sensitivity, independence, intelligence, awareness, and self-respect ran through each dog. Oh and I witnessed many a familiar to me moment of people happily celebrating the event of an escaped dog ~finally~ deciding to surrender to being re-leashed ha ha! That thing I've heard about so often, about how AI dogs recognize each other and have special relationships, I had not experienced so much when I had brief meetings with AI dogs in my area...at the Gathering it was in hyper-effect! I had not seen Sita play, run, or clearly commune with other dogs like she did all weekend. She was exhausted and supremely happy at the end of each day, rewarding me with the most honey dripping gazes of love and extra special cuddles and hugs...she was letting me know that THIS is what makes her the most happy! So I am clearly going to keep my eye and heart on the the timing and possibility to adding another of these incredible spirit dogs to our pack. It was amazing to see them together, and I am stoked for all of you forum members who have two or more of them living with you...wow wow wow... Special thanks to Greg who worked overtime to make sure it all went off without a hitch. That guy really serves the community, as I know personally very well. And of course to Kim who not only hung out with us at the gathering (so cool to watch him taking in his brood!) but allowed us to come visit Song Dog and hang out with the breeders and the pups...always a special experience... Sri 384
You're welcome Denise! Yes I check in on the forum from time to time to keep myself updated and entertained, but things are so smooth and easy with Sita I rarely have big training questions or any problems that need dealing with... We seem to have deep understanding between us now, and she really is (mostly!) my little angel. What a creature! Hope you are enjoying your two like crazy!

We seem to have deep understanding between us now, and she really is (mostly!) my little angel. What a creature! Hope you are enjoying your two like crazy! Yes they are something else! Sometimes they are so in sync when out & about - especially when they are next to each other and they see something that attracts them on the other side of the dog park. I can tell they are in silent communication. It mesmerizes me because I can sense it but I don't know what is being said. Someday I want to be in a financial position for a third and then .... who knows? What does Sita look like now? Do you have any updated pics you can post? Would love to see them and hear more of your companionship with her and adventures !!!!!!!!!

Tervlab 152
We were so bummed to have had to cancel our plans to go to "The Gathering". So glad it was such a successful event! I cannot wait for next year!
