  1. Happy July 4th everybody! Took the pups to Snyder Park to the fresh water swim lake. They had a great day and Coffey is slowly trusting the water. He's just not quite ready to swim out yet. (He wasn't a fan of his swim therapy last year ....) By the end of the summer he'll be swimming out and splashing around with the other dogs I'm sure
  2. Just about everyone I talk to is suggesting swimmies for dogs or a floaty device until she learns how to swim. I think it's funny that she does the submarine thing - (happy she holds her breath and does not panic!!!!!!) I don't want her jumping off after a dog into an area that doesn't have an incline to shallower water for her to follow - until she can swim. I watch her closely - where she is - even though it's a "no people swimming area" IF she were to jump into a deeper area - I would follow! She seems to know not to jump because she see's other dogs swimming when they jump in.
  3. I know this is hard to see but two weeks ago the boys and I were at one of our favorite parks Malachi was hanging with his buddy who's name is moose he was fetching balls out of the pond. when no one was looking there went Malachi out to get one of the balls OMG! I was so excited here is a pic of him swimming theres no stopping him now he always like playing in the water as long as he could touch the bottom I was like a mother who's child took their first step
